Can’t find your VIN?

There are two ways to get the VIN (serial number) off your NIU scooter. Either one works for your request.

Use the NIU app

Try to bind the scooter in the NIU app. When it fails, tap Contact Service. Your email app opens with a pre-filled message that already contains the serial number.

Dear NIU,
I have bought a NIU kick scooter, and the serial number is K3T0KDJSSIW2281.
Here is my purchase certificate.

If the app never shows the VIN, try again from a different phone. An iPhone often works best.

Read it off the scooter

The VIN is printed directly on the frame. The photo below shows exactly where to look.

How to tell you have the right number

  • A VIN starts with K and is 15-16 characters of letters and digits.
  • A serial number starts with 1992, 1993 or 1994 and is 15 digits.
